Investigating specification of neural progenitor fates

Research in the team focuses on elucidating mechanisms that govern development of the nervous system and how genetic or epigenetic alterations of these mechanisms may lead to pathologies of the nervous system including neurodevelopmental disorders, motoneuron diseases or cancer. We use a combination of experimental approaches including mouse genetics, cell biology, biochemistry and whole-genome analysis.
